Valerie and Chase made my dreams come true when I received their inquiry for their George Peabody Library Wedding! I have been wanting to photograph a wedding there for so long! It is beyond elegant and provides the perfect backdrop for a timeless wedding. The getting ready process took place at Hotel Indigo, which was so so perfect. Their decor goes with the whole “library” theme! I certainly had fun shooting all of the details and incorporating the bookshelf on display. Valerie and her bridesmaids wore elegant satin gowns and even made their own bouquets! I am not very crafty, so that is incredible to me!
Every minute of their wedding day was full of love, beauty and joy! Valerie and Chase wrote their own vows, and they were kept private (no microphones)! I still wish I knew what they said to one another, but I love that they kept it personal. Seeing their emotions versus hearing their words was certainly powerful! Many tears and giggles were shared and I am sure it is a moment they will always remember.
Mt. Vernon has such an array of places to photograph bride and grooms portraits, which is one of the great aspects of also getting married at the Peabody Library. Their reception decor was very fitting with lots of personal touches. Chase is an engineer and made their custom trinket gift boxes for their guests and he even 3D printed their cake topper, say what?!? Want to hear the sweetest thing? We were seated with the rest of the guests for dinner! We had our own place cards and all 😀 Thank you Valerie and Chase for having me photograph your very special wedding day! Congratulations and I wish you all the best in your future together as husband and wife!!
