Is there a better way to ring in the New Year than having a wedding where you are surrounded by all of your closest family and friends? I think not! New Years Eve weddings are becoming more and more popular! I love the idea of combining the celebration of a new year with a wedding <3
Heather and Andrew were both full of wedding day jitters when I arrived to begin photographing their big day. Since their wedding was in the evening, they had an entire to day become anxious to see one another! Their nerves settled after receiving notes and gifts from one another, Andrew received a custom Shinola watch and Heather a beautiful David Yurman bangle. Their reactions were priceless!
They seriously have some great taste! I was all smiles when I saw Heather’s dress and accessories! A fur coat, sparkly Badgley Mischka shoes, stunning diamond earrings, and an invitation suite that couldn’t be more fitting for their New Year’s Eve theme. I loved the sweet touches of baby’s breath, rosemary and roses. Tables of celebratory confetti, noise makers and party hats filled the room! The guests table were decorated beautifully with lots of gold accents, candles, and candied bacon! Yes, I said candied bacon!!! Yum!
The toasts were full of love and inspiration, and I was giggling to myself when hearing about how Heather and Andrew met. Long story short, Heather’s sister (and MOH) knew Andrew and let him and his cousins cut in line at a bar in Ocean City and Heather was not okay with that! Feeling somewhat defeated and offended, Andrew and his cousins left, and headed to another bar. However, it wouldn’t be long until they crossed paths again. A few months later, they met again through another mutual friend and Heather was much nicer to Andrew this time around, so nice that he decided he wanted her number! The two started seeing each other shortly after that, and made things official in late January of 2011. Now here they are, married and beginning the rest of their lives together!
They danced, they partied, they laughed and said “cheers” with pink champagne while the ball dropped and the celebrated the official beginning of 2017 as Mr. & Mrs. Pearce!
Congratulations to the two of you and I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness 🙂
